MomoGuard is a mobile application designed to detect and prevent mobile money fraud for African users, focusing on common threats such as social engineering, SIM swap scams, fake promotions, and suspicious transaction patterns. Built on A Hybrid AI Framework for Real-Time Mobile Money Fraud Prevention.

It aims to protect both individual users and small businesses by monitoring mobile money activity, flagging high-risk behaviors, and providing real-time alerts or recommendations before a transaction is completed.

Beyond detection, MomoGuard serves as an educational and protective companion for everyday mobile money use, offering users simple explanations of why a transaction or message looks risky and how to respond safely. Over time, it can leverage anonymized behavioral and transactional data to adapt to emerging fraud tactics in different countries and networks, giving Africans a locally tuned, continuously learning shield against evolving mobile money scams.
